Download it for PC, MAC, or LINUX, and open it. Sign in like normal Minecraft, add the server, and unlock the features of Spout!
So What is Spout?
Spout, formerly BukkitContrib, is a framework to bridge the ever-widening chasm between single player mods, and multiplayer Bukkit plugins. On its own, it does very little. Expect no changes beyond some interface enhancements and minor speed improvements on the client and moderate speed improvements on the server. Through it, Bukkit plugins can do the previously impossible. Currently, plugins can seamlessly manipulate and monitor inventory, audio, sound effects, skins, player titles, alter the main in-game HUD, and launch popup notifications on the player's client. Many of these features require Spoutcraft. See "What is Spoutcraft" below. And the future is even better. Spout plans to create a client side plugin system, which will unlock the ability to add custom blocks, monsters, and items to the game. Imagine joining one server, and having it automagically download all the new game content and install it seamlessly. Then, log out and join the next server, totally vanilla, without ever closing the game. With Spout there is no "this isn't possible" replies anymore. Now, it's either "Yes", or "Yes, in the future".
Basically just download it, put it on your desktop. Open it, log in to your account. Add our server to the list. Log into our server. Experience the awesomeness of spout.

-You can have a cape added to your character! (Look's awesome)
-McMMO XPBar at the top of screen. it shows your XP depending on the current skill you're working on.
-Access to many more plugins we will add that require spout!
-Some Plugins look super cool and you will see what I mean when you get it, just as Mob arena :D
-TONS of other cool little notifications displaye din the top right corner, such as showing mob health when you attack a mob!
Capes
With Spoutcraft you can get a cape for your player! So How simple is it to get a cape? Follow the steps:
1) Visit: http://minecraftcapes.com/ and find an awesome skin you would like for your character! Please make sure you find one you're willing to stick with for a little, as we wont change your cape like 3 times a day lol.
3) You're going to want to click on where it shows that download icon, and says "Cape" so click on that,
4) It will now open a webpage with just the picture of your cape, and it will be SUPER SUPER SMALL.
5) Copy that webpage exactly as it is.
6) Now you need to send an email to DaClowns@hotmail.com and make the subject Cape Change. Be sure to include your full minecraft name in the email AND the website of the cape you copied for step 5.
7) Now wait. DaClowns will check his email for new cape questions every day or so, and if you had requested a new cape it will be changed!
